JUDGE ME

Verse 1

I may drink too much whiskey,
and sip too much wine
May be a friend of the devil,
wasting too much time.
Sitting here thinking
That this world is a mess.
And being unkind to those
I love best.

(Chorus)
But don’t you dare judge me
You haven’t walked in my shoes
You can’t see the burden I carry
Or the past that I’ve excused

Verse 2

May be a bit battered,
May be a bit worn.
My body has been broken,
My heart has been torn.
May have broken promises
And treated people unkind.
May have convicted some
Before knowing their crime.

(Chorus)

But don’t you dare judge me.
You haven’t walked in my shoes.
You can’t see the burden I carry
Or the past that I’ve excused.

Bridge

We are not what we seem..
Perfection is a ridiculous dream.
I wear my faults like Tattoos on my sleeve.
I’m not as damaged As you may believe.

Verse 3

So let’s stop pretending
That we got it all down
And not look down our noses
But start to look around.
Let’s stop judging each other
and looking for our faults.
Stop condemning ourselves
And breaking God’s heart.

(Chorus)

But don’t you dare judge me.
You haven’t walked in my shoes…
